green is the new flag

If we had been told to plant victory gardens 7 years ago, instead of to go shopping, we’d have good asparagus by now.

Sometimes I feel so bitter I imagine other people can smell it on me.

  1. Mo Rocca said that when he was a fragrance spritzer, he was instructed to tell customers that the Queen Mother smelled like Chanel No. 22, which smells like lilacs.
    Perhaps you could discover a fragrance that smells bitter, and add a new dimension to your blog.

  4. Yes, I too have the scent of bitter.
    I think bitterness is a brilliant and fascinating thing. It’s a response to unfairness, it protects pride, it’s maybe necessary for dignity in some cases. I need to write more about it sometime.
    Resentment is good but
    Bitter is better.
    I think I’ll get a bumper sticker: Bitter and proud of it.
